The Burden of Freedom (Romans 14:13-23, 1 Corinthians 8:7-13)

Joel Greutman, January 21, 2018
Part of the None series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

Christ died to set us free from the law of sin and death. We have been given freedom in many different ways because our righteousness is not based on our level of performance in a set of rules but on Christ. But we cannot use these freedoms in such a manner that it would hinder someone else's journey in Christ. In this teaching, Pastor Joel Greutman reminds us that self-denial is part of what it means to be a Christian, and part of laying down our lives for our sisters and brothers means sometimes I don't do a thing that I enjoy even if I'm free to do it.
